Risky Vs. Reckless: Inviting children to take healthy risks while keeping them safe - NYAEYC

In this presentation offered to attendees of the 2025 NYAEYC conference, Christina encouraged opportunities for Risky Play within classrooms across the US with evidence based research and real life applications. Special focus was given to documentation and communication and how it can support early childhood professionals stay within regulations and expectations while offering opportunities for Risky Play.

Where the Magic Happens: Taking Play Based Learning Outdoors - NYAEYC

In this presentation provided to attendees of the 2025 attendees of the NYAEYC conference, Christina offered a perspective of play-based learning to a wide range of educators and early childhood professionals. This particular presentation cast a wide net of offerings and suggestions to meet the differing needs of the attendees - from rooftop playgrounds to acres of forest land.

The Process of Process Art - the How, the Why, and the When

In April 2025, Christina offered the first publicly held presentation of The Process of Process at the NYAEYC conference in Verona, NY. This includes the first open presentation of The Process of Process art, an interactive, hands-on, collaborative presentation that engaged participants in the act of both process and product art while also offering research and suggestions on integrating more process art into a variety of different types of early childhood education settings and child care programs.
